Policies & FAQ
Booking
To confirm your reservation, you must complete the booking form on our website: www.aconcaguamountainguides.com/book-e-trip/ and make a payment of $500.00 (five hundred dollars).
The reservation will be confirmed upon receipt of said payment. Payment can be made by credit card or bank transfer.
Note: All balances must be paid 50 days before the departure date.
Travel Cancellation Insurance
As we are aware that our passengers are exposed to unforeseen circumstances that may lead to the cancellation of their place on one of our expeditions, AMG recommends purchasing cancellation insurance through your travel agent for better assistance in the event of such an occurrence.
Cancellations
If you cancel 51 days or more before the departure date, your deposit may be used for a future expedition with AMG up to two years after the cancelation.
If you cancel within 50 days before the departure date, the balance and deposit will not be refundable, and the amount paid cannot be used in subsequent years.
Participants whose balances are not received within the 50-day period as mentioned above may lose their place on the expedition.
Recommendations
Our program on the Normal Route includes expedition porters at the high-altitude camps. What it does not include are porters to carry personal gear. So we recommend hiring this service to ascend more lightly, thus saving energy and increasing the chances of a successful ascent. These porters, if purchased in advance, have a special price.
Each passenger on our expeditions can transport up to a maximum of 30kg by mule, either from the Los Puquios logistics base to the base camps or vice versa. To make this movement, we recommend bringing a sturdy and waterproof bag to ensure the protection of your personal equipment while being transported, since it will be
exposed to potential wear and tear as it travels on the mule’s back to its destination.
