MARTÍN FARMACHE

Martín “Tincho” Farmache is the force that keeps our infrastructure in good working order, no matter the altitude. As General Maintenance Coordinator, he oversees the construction, assembly, and upkeep of the structures we rely on in the mountains. From crafting the floors of our domes to making sure every system runs smoothly throughout the season, he is the one who keeps our camps functional in the harshest conditions. With over 15 years of experience maintaining Aconcagua’s base camps and a background as a former Aconcagua Park ranger, Tincho knows the terrain better than most. In the off-season, he is building and preparing the equipment we will use during the next climbing season.
