BRUNO LÓPEZ

Plaza de Mulas Basecamp Manager

Bruno began his 20-year career in the mountains as a cook, trained as a chef at one of Mendoza’s top culinary schools, and quickly rose through the camp structure to become a manager. After years on Aconcagua, his strong leadership skills have made him an outstanding base camp leader.

Today, Bruno manages Plaza de Mulas, the largest base camp on Aconcagua, making his role especially demanding. He oversees complex logistics, coordinates information, assists groups, and maintains communication between Mendoza and Puente del Inca to ensure safe and efficient evacuations if needed.

Beyond the mountain, Bruno is a musician with his own rock band, a passionate music enthusiast, and an amateur astronomer, always exploring new horizons on earth and in the sky.
