It has been declared as cultural interest since San Martin General and his army horses raided taking these valleys.

You will enjoy the comforts of one of the best hotels in Mendoza city. On this day our guide will check your mountain equipment and accompany you to hire the necessary things. (Food is not included)
DAY 02: MENDOZA / MANZANO HISTÓRICO / SCARABELLI (3,100)
Breakfast. Transfer Mendoza – Manzano Histórico. Migratory papers at Refugio Portinari. Arrangement of horses and mules. Horse riding up to Scarabelli. Camp. (B, PL, D)
DAY 03: SCARABELLI / REAL DE LA CRUZ (2,800)
Breakfast. Horse riding up to Real de la Cruz, by Portillo Argentino (4,000 m height). Descent to the headwaters of Tunuyán River. Setting up tents and resting. (B, PL, D)
DAY 04: REAL DE LA CRUZ / PASO PIUQUENES (4,021)
Breakfast. Pitching tents. Horse riding up to Paso Piuquenes. Setting up tents and Rest. (B, PL, D)
DAY 05: PASO PIUQUENES / VALLE DEL YESO (1,300) / SANTIAGO DE CHILE
Breakfast. Horse riding up to the Argentinean-Chilean border. Change the horses and mules. Descent to the first Chilean position “Valle del Yeso”. Transfer to Santiago, Chile. Lodging in a hotel. (B, PL)
DAY 06: SANTIAGO DE CHILE
End of services.

Their equipment includes: VHF radio, a first aid kit, complete with the appropriate drugs for altitude sickness, ropes, an altimeter, and professional clothing and equipment. All this will provide security and comfort.
